On the 6th of October, 2025 Global Spectrum Plc proudly joined the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration for the official flag-off of the Muhammed Isa Road Extension in upscale Asokoro District. Hosted by Honourable Minister FCT Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, on Day 10 of the Renewed Hope infrastructure series, the ceremony drew dignitaries, including senators, FCDA executives, and community leaders. Mobilization began September 9, encompassing access roads, retaining walls, culverts, water/sewer networks, street lighting, power, and telecom infrastructure to transform local connectivity.

Committing to the project delivery, the Project Manager for Global Spectrum PLC, Engr. Stanley Onyeneke, who spoke on behalf of the MD, Mr. Colm Doyle, praised the Minister’s leadership in driving Abuja’s transformation through infrastructure and thanked the Minister for trusting an indigenous contractor with the project. He pledged to ensure that it is completed within the stipulated time frame and in accordance with recognized standards. Engineer Stanley assured stakeholders of superior quality and timely execution: “This project will surpass standards and finish ahead of schedule,” highlighting our proven track record in quality engineering. Global Spectrum reaffirms its unwavering commitment to excellence, leveraging state-of-the-art equipment like asphalt and concrete plants for simultaneous high-profile deliveries.

 

The extension promises enhanced mobility, security, and economic opportunities for Asokoro residents and youth employment. Providing an overview of the project, the Acting Executive Secretary, FCDA, Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda stated the scope of work includes Construction of approximately 4 kilometers of roads along with the provision of modern drainage systems, Water Distribution Network, Sewer Line Network, Street Lighting, Power Supply, Telecommunication Ducts and other infrastructure services. Engr. Dauda added that the project will provide essential engineering infrastructure, enhance interconnectivity, and improve security in the area and solicited the cooperation and support of residents for timely implementation.

 

In his address, the Hon. Minister FCT Barr. Nyesom Wike, underscored the project’s necessity for livable urban spaces: “Without roads, drainage, and lights, how can life thrive? FCT is executing Mr. President’s vision to rival global cities.” This initiative underscores Abuja’s evolving landscape, from roads to schools and health sectors.
